Second Grade Class Drama Presentation - - May 2003
|
This class drama presentation is the story of a young girl named Rosemary, who happens to go to school at Hope Lutheran in Glendora, CA. Rosemary goes through school, and moves on to college (Concordia University), then finally becomes a teacher and comes back to teach at Hope. This is her story.
Unknown to us beforehand, Lexi played the part of Rosemary. We were surprised, and amazed at how great this turned out.
Before starting, the 6 or so actors were all in the first pew on the right. The rest of the class is seated in groups of 4 kids on the stage. Lexi and the other actors did not speak their parts - whenever they had a line to say, one of the groups of 4 kids would stand and speak the line as a chorus, then sit down again. The actors simply acted out the parts, with the individual choruses speaking all the various lines. So, one of the groups of 4 spoke all the lines for Rosemary.

The last 3 pictures are after the play is over. Lexi did not know where we were, which was up in the balcony (to shoot the pictures). She had not seen us up there, and after she finally did find us, was telling me (in the last picture) to get down.
